How do we recognize stress?
The symptoms of stress. Stress manifest in so many ways in different people:-
1. Anxiety State – Mind not at rest
2. Tension / Conflict
3. Headaches – Dull Aches
4. Can’t sleep, feels tired and fatigued
5. loss of Appetite
6. Can’t concentrate
7. Stomach pains
8. Intestinal Hurry – Frequent stool.
9. weight loss – in the long run
10. irritable and angry – gets easily annoyed
Dangers of Stress
If you are under stress for a long time i.e chronic stress, you may develop the following diseases:-
1. Raised Blood Pressure (BP) - Hypertension
2. Stomach Ulcer
3. Brainfag – Because of lack of sleep and rest
4. depression which leads to mental disorder
How to prevent Stress
The best way to prevent stress and avoid the diseases associated with it, is to depend on God. When handling stress and its complications you will need both medical and spiritual support. The doctors will treat the complications of stress like High BP, Ulcer etc. But the underlying cause must be dealt with through counseling and spiritual support.
