Manchester United - José Mourinho to be sacked this weekend

According to report in the Mirror, Mourinho is a goner after the Newcastle match, no matter the result.

Ed Woodward senior United sources said Mourinho will apparently be fired this weekend, following the match against Newcastle, no matter the result. 

 

Jose Mourinho has lost the confidence of the Manchester United board and is set to be sacked this weekend. Senior United sources have told Mirror Sport he has reached the point of no return, with the axe ready to fall whatever the ­outcome of Saturday’s match against Newcastle.

 

Mourinho has alienated players, fans and staff at Old Trafford with his ­divisive approach in recent months, and those in charge of the club, led by executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, have had enough.

Meanwhile Gary Neville was fury over jose report saying, "If this report is true, it is reminiscent of the final days of the previous two managers, Both David Moyes and Louis van Gaal would have seen reports of their departures in the media in the days leading up to official confirmation — a shameful and cowardly way of doing business, as rightfully pointed out."

Mourinho is an altogether more combative sort than either of his predecessors, and if he suspects that this report is accurate and that Saturday’s match will be his last as United manager, expect his post-match comments to be eventful.

Regardless of the manner in which Mourinho’s exit is handled, most fans of this site seem to believe that the time is right for him to be relieved of his duties.
