The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State has officially affirmed Alhaji Muhammad Abacha as the Muhammad Abacha Kano PDP candidate for the upcoming governorship election in the state.
The decision was announced by PDP State Chairman Dr. Bello Gambo-Bichi during a replacement primary election in Kano, following the voluntary withdrawal of the party’s previous flagbearer, Alhaji Muhammad Dalha, after extensive high-level consultations among key stakeholders in Kano and Abuja.
As part of a broader internal reconciliation effort to harmonize competing political interests, former PDP state chairman and commissioner Alhaji Yusuf Ado-Kibiya was officially named as Abacha's running mate to present a unified front.
