Peter Obi Welcomes Court Battle, Challenges Kenneth Okonkwo to Present Evidence

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has responded to comments made by actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo, stating that legal action became necessary because of suggestions that more allegations could be made against him in the future. 

Obi explained that the issue would likely not have escalated if the allegations had ended with previous claims. 

However, he noted that statements indicating further revelations would be made prompted the need for a legal resolution. 

According to Obi, the courtroom provides the appropriate platform for any accusations to be examined openly and fairly before the Nigerian public. 

Obi stated that he is prepared to face any allegations and encouraged anyone with evidence of wrongdoing to present it before the court. 

He emphasized that legal proceedings would provide an opportunity for all claims to be scrutinized based on facts and evidence rather than public speculation. 

The former Anambra State governor maintained that transparency and accountability are best achieved through established legal institutions.
