VeryDarkMan Urges Seyi Makinde to Intensify Rescue Efforts for Abducted Oyo Schoolchildren

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has appealed to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to intensify efforts toward rescuing schoolchildren and teachers who remain in captivity following a recent abduction incident in the state. 

Speaking during a protest, VeryDarkMan expressed concern about the prolonged detention of the victims and warned that delays in rescue operations could worsen the situation. 

He argued that swift and decisive action was necessary to prevent the abductors from becoming more emboldened and making additional demands. 

VDM comments come amid growing public anxiety over the fate of dozens of pupils and teachers kidnapped from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. 

According to the activist, many Nigerians are willing to support efforts aimed at securing the safe return of the victims. He emphasized the importance of acting quickly while maintaining focus on the welfare and safety of those being held. 

The abduction has sparked outrage across the country, with parents, community leaders, religious groups, and civil society organizations repeatedly calling on authorities to intensify rescue operations. 

Governor Seyi Makinde has previously assured residents that his administration is working closely with security agencies to secure the release of the victims and reunite them with their families. 

Meanwhile, security agencies continue operations aimed at locating the abductors and bringing those responsible to justice.
