The Nigerian social media community has been thrown into mourning following the sudden and tragic passing of a well-known creative and photographer, fondly called Kola Onifoto. The news broke after a heartbreaking tribute was posted by a close friend, Princess Idara, who detailed the chilling circumstances surrounding his death.

Kola reportedly lost his life while embarking on a solo bike ride to Akure, a decision friends say they had warned him against. The emotional outcry on Facebook highlights a life cut short in its prime, leaving behind a sick father and unfulfilled dreams for 2026.

According to the viral post by Princess Idara, Kola had recently made the unconventional choice to sell his "baby Honda" car to purchase a motorcycle. Despite concerns from his inner circle, Kola was determined to master the bike, even using it to supplement his income through ride-hailing services like Bolt.

The tragedy struck during a solo trip to Akure. Idara's tribute suggests that while Kola had survived minor falls in the past, this particular journey proved fatal. "Why did you dare the devil? Why did you do the solo ride to Akure?" she questioned in her emotional post, echoing the pain of many who knew him.

Kola was described as a selfless individual who often went out of his way to help others. Friends recalled how he would assist people in retrieving lost funds and how he unexpectedly sent money to loved ones just to show they were on his mind.

As of the time of filing this report, further official details about the reported accident have not been publicly confirmed.
