Boyfriend on the Run in Abuja After Visiting Girlfriend Dies While Eating in His House
A man is currently on the run in Abuja after his visiting girlfriend, identified as Esther Akwaji, reportedly collapsed and died while eating in his house. The shocking incident has prompted the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command to launch an investigation, as the suspect fled shortly after doctors confirmed the woman dead at a hospital in Kubwa.

The FCT Police Command has begun an investigation into the mysterious death of 27-year-old Esther Akwaji, following reports that she died while visiting her boyfriend in Abuja.

Sources told Strenuousblogs.com that the deceased, who resides in Nasarawa State, had travelled to the Federal Capital Territory to visit her family. On January 21, she reportedly left her family home on the pretext of going to a bank in Dei-Dei, but never returned.

Family members later became alarmed after hours passed without hearing from her. According to the source, they eventually received a phone call using Esther’s mobile phone from a man who identified himself as her boyfriend.

The man allegedly informed the family that Esther had come to visit him and that he had bought food for both of them. He claimed that while they were eating, Esther suddenly began vomiting and showing signs of distress.

He further stated that he rushed her to Kubwa General Hospital, where medical personnel confirmed that she was dead on arrival.

However, shortly after doctors pronounced her dead, the boyfriend reportedly fled the hospital and has since remained unreachable, raising suspicions around the circumstances surrounding the young woman’s death.

When contacted, the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident. She said the police have commenced a full investigation into the matter.

According to her, Esther’s body has been deposited for autopsy, while efforts are ongoing to locate and arrest the fleeing suspect.

The police assured the public that further updates would be provided as investigations continue.
