According to CNBC, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com, is anticipated to sell additional shares in the company, potentially reaching 8 million to 10 million shares, valued at more than $1 billion.
Last week, he already sold approximately $240 million worth of shares. Bezos' divestiture of shares comes amid his transition away from Amazon's CEO role.
He's been steadily liquidating shares to support his space venture, Blue Origin. Despite this move, neither Bezos nor Amazon has responded to Reuters' request for comments regarding the reported share sales.
Earlier this month, Bezos announced his relocation from Seattle to Miami, aiming to be closer to his parents and Blue Origin's operations in Cape Canaveral.
