Nigeria Ranked Second Most Prayerful Country in the World

Nigeria has been recognized as the second most prayerful country globally, according to the Pew Research Centre. Afghanistan secured the top spot with a prayer rate of 96 percent, while Nigeria closely followed with a prayer rate of 95 percent. 

The Pew Research Centre, a non-partisan American think-tank based in Washington, D.C., conducted this survey.

It's worth noting that Nigeria also held the title of the most prayerful country in a Pew Research Centre survey conducted between 2008 and 2017. In contrast, countries like China (1%), the UK (6%), Switzerland (8%), Austria (8%), Czechoslovakia (9%), Germany (9%), Estonia (9%), France (10%), and Denmark (10%) reported the lowest prayer rates.
