The President of Trade Union Congress, Festus Osifo, revealed during an interview that Labour leaders met with President Bola Tinubu and received commitments on addressing the raised issues promptly, leading to the strike's suspension.
Earlier, the Nigeria Labour Congress had announced its intention to proceed with the mass protest, stating that the meeting with the Federal Government did not result in any positive changes or concessions.
However, the Labour leaders expressed their unwavering commitment to representing the interests and desires of the Nigerian workers and people.
