GWRs distances self from cry-a-thon man

A Nigerian man named Tembu Ebere attempted to set a Guinness World Record for the longest crying marathon by an individual. 

However, during the challenge, he experienced partial blindness for 45 minutes. 

In an interview with the BBC, Ebere mentioned that his intense wailing caused him headaches, puffy eyes, and a swollen face. He had to re-strategize and reduce the intensity of his crying. Nevertheless, he remained determined to cry continuously for seven days.

However, Guinness World Records has publicly distanced itself from this record, stating that they did not approve such a challenge, and it is impossible to monitor it. 

The organization confirmed that it would only monitor records that can be verified by their team. Therefore, they would not consider a record for the longest marathon crying.
