The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's (EFCC) Benin Zonal Command agents detained two Internet Fraud Coaching Centre (also known as HK) proprietors and seven other alleged internet fraudsters on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 in Benin City, Edo State.
According to a statement made by the anti-graft agency, the owners of the yahoo school, Osagie Ogiemwonyi and Onukwugho Favour, and seven of their "students" were detained at their locations as a result of the Commission acting on actionable intelligence.
The seven others, according to the commission, are Henry Philip, Chata Okoro, Ighodaro Omede, Ehigie Idemudia, Lawrence Daniel, and Raymond Ogiemwonyi Oghosa.
A Mercedes Benz GLK, a Lexus 350, phones, and laptops were among the items seized from the accused.
