A Nigerian Air Force fighter unintentionally bombed residents of Kunkuna in Katsina State's Safana Local Government Area.
There are little known details about the catastrophe, however many people are said to have perished.
In the operation against the bandit encampment, the jet is reported to have struck the incorrect targets.
