Omowunmi allegedly stabbed her husband, Joseph Nwankwo, to death while he was sleeping around 2 a.m. over plans to marry a second wife, according to Daily Trust.
On Monday, April 4, the tragedy occurred in the Odoye, Alaadorin region of the state's Ibadan North Local Government Area.
When the deceased told his wife that he was preparing to marry another woman from his hometown, the couple apparently began to have misunderstandings approximately two weeks ago.
Omowunmi reportedly turned herself in to the police at Iyaganku after killing her husband and was transferred to the Yemetu police division.
In the meantime, her husband's remains have been placed in a mortuary.
