Willie Obiano, the immediate-past governor of Anambra State, has been relocated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from its Lagos zonal office to its Abuja headquarters.
The former governor was escorted from his Lagos office to the anti-graft agency's headquarters in Abuja on Friday morning, according to anti-graft agency sources.
"He was transported from our Lagos zone office to our headquarters in Abuja this morning (Friday) for adequate interrogation," the source said.
The former governor would be questioned about allegations of corruption, the specifics of which cannot yet be independently verified by journalists. It was also impossible to determine the exact time he was flown into Abuja.
