An armed gang attacked the Nnewi South Local Government Area in Anambra State on Thursday morning.
The secretariat was engulfed in flames. It is yet to be determined whether anyone was killed or harmed.
"It is a suspected case of arson," the Anambra State Police Command states.
According to DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the information is "still unclear."
