Senator Rochas Okorocha, the former governor of Imo State, has stated his ambition to run for president in 2023.
On Wednesday, Okorocha revealed his decision in a letter to the Senate President, which was read in plenary by Ahmad Lawan.
On Monday, January 31, 2022, the legislator announced he will hold a global press conference to officially proclaim his candidacy for the president.
On the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Okorocha is a senator representing the Imo West senatorial constituency (APC).
