Abia Gov. Eulogies Prof. Otunta As He Embarks On A Journey To Eternity

Abia State Governor Okezie lkpeazu, on Friday 10 Sep 2021 was represented by his Deputy, Sir. Ude Oko Chukwu, at the burial ceremony of Immediate Past Vice Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, (MOUAU) Professor, Francis Ogbonnaya Otunta at his country's home, Anangwu, Nkpoghoro in Afikpo North LGA, Ebornyi State.       

Oko Chukwu, who eulogised the sterling qualities of the deceased, expressed sadness at the news of his death, which came as a surprise to the government of Abia state. 

He encouraged the bereaved family to take heart over the loss of their beloved son.   

Responding on behalf of the family, the wife of the deceased, Dr/Mrs Bertha Nnenna Otunta, thanked the Abia State Government for identifying with them during this period of mourning. 

Recall that Late Francis Ogbonnaya Otunta died on 29th March 2021 in a motor accident along Abakaliki-Afikpo Highway.
