The 22 year old keeper, said "Certain decisions are difficult but are part of the human being’s growth.
"I arrived at Milan a little bit older than a child, for eight years I’ve worn this shirt with honour, we have fought, suffered, won, cried, joyed with my teammates, — my coaches and with all those who were and are part of this club, together with our fans who are an integral part for what have been a family for many years.
"In the red and black shirt I have fulfilled important personal milestones, like debuting in Serie A at 16.
"I have witnessed extraordinary years that I will never forget. The farewell moment has arrived, a decision that wasn’t easy and definitely a post won’t be enough to explain it, or maybe they can’t be even explained because profound feelings can hardly be put into words.
"What I can say is that it was right to choose to make a change, to face new challenges, to grow and become complete.
"All the Rossoneri I have met from day one to the last day will always remain an important part in my heart, actually a fundamental one of the path of growth that made me what I am.
