Uwa Omozuwa, 22-year-old student of University of Benin (UNIBEN) has died from injured she sustained after four men reportedly raped her in a Redeemed Christian of Church (RCCG) auditorium in Benin, Edo State.
Report claimed that Uwa have visited the RCCG Edo Province 10, Ikpoba Hill Benin, last Wednesday to read before the rapists pounced on her.
She was reportedly attacked with a fire extinguisher by the men, who raped and left her for dead.
The incident has created anger on social media with many Nigerians about the deceased, said to be a brilliant student by colleagues.
A security guard who was seen reportedly saw her in a pool of her blood before she was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.
Uwa a Microbiology undergraduate later narrated her ordeals while on admission before succumbing to injuries on Saturday.
The case was reported at the Oregbeni Police Station, Benin.
