The Abia State Police Command wish to inform the general public that a new Commissioner of Police has been deployed to Abia State.
CP Janet Agbede, has assumed duties and taken over the responsibilities of the command as the 31st Commissioner of Police and the 1st Female Commissioner of Police in Abia State Police Command.
Janet Agbede is now the first female Commissioner of Police in Abia, she assumed office on Friday and issued a stern warning to criminal elements in the state to relocate elsewhere or face a tough time.
She succeeds CP E. Ene Okon fdc, who has been redeployed to Force headquarters, Abuja.
The new Commissioner of Police Abia State Police Command was appointed into the Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1988.
She has served in various capacities in the Nigeria Police Force. She is an alumnus of University of Ibadan and has attended various professional courses both home and abroad.
Prior to her deployment to the Command, she was the Commissioner of Police in-charge welfare Department, Force Headquarters Abuja.
