Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, to commence payment of civil servants and verified pensioners from Friday, March 27 to Monday 30th.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Commissioner of Information in the state, Chief John Okiyi-Kalu.
"It was a compassionate directive from the governor that is aimed at ensuring that workers and verified pensioners have money to stock up food in the event of a lockdown in the state.
Okiyi added that the Governor has also directed the conclusion of pension verifications Friday, March 27th.
