In Imo, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Command, has affirmed the capture of one Mr Uzochi Agbakwuru, a supposed notorious drug dealer in the state.
In a statement gave in Owerri on Wednesday by the command Public Relations Officer, Mr Uche Sampson, expressed that Agbakwuru was captured on October 18 and was in the agency’s authority.
According to him, "the suspect had been on NDLEA's criminal watch list for more than year and a half before his capture.
"The suspect who hails from Umuemeri Ogwu, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo, previously attempted arrests but was unsuccessful "because of his strong counter-intelligence network."
"150 grams of dried weeds affirmed to be cannabis sativa were supposedly found in his possession."
The NDLEA representative said that the suspect was captured at his home, where he endeavored to get away.
He alleged that the suspect raised false alarm, calling on his criminal associates and sympathizers, who later turned violent in order to obstruct NDLEA’s legitimate duty.
