The Delta State Polytechnic suspended four Students over an alleged illegal possession of guns

The Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara has suspended indefinitely, four students over an alleged illegal possession of guns within it's premises.
The four students were caught by Security Operatives with fire arms during the institution’s Cultural day celebration held on Thursday 18th July, 2019. Among the four suspended students are two final year students. They have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
The Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara confirmed the suspension of the students in the school’s bulletin signed by its Registrar, Dr. Benson Omonode.
A copy of the school’s bulletin was obtained on Sunday wherein the Registrar, Dr. Benson Omonode gave the names of the suspended students to include Ogbekhilu Collins (HND II, Mechanical Engineering), Oghenede Godbless (HND II, Elect-Elect Engineering), Agbagbara Ernest (ND 1, Regular 2, Industrial Engineering) and Omare Andy (ND II, Regular 1 Business Administration and Mgt.)
"The four (4) students were caught with guns by security operatives on Thursday, 18th July, 2019 during the Cultural Day at the Polytechnic. They have been handed over to the police for investigation,” he said.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Adeyinka Adeleke confirmed the report saying, "It was about two weeks ago that the incident occurred."
