Speaking on the issue, the pastor questioned why some parents allow children as young as 10 and 12 years old to wear revealing outfits, high heels, heavy makeup, artificial nails and elaborate hairstyles that are commonly associated with adults.
According to the pastor, introducing children to these trends at an early age could lead them to believe that physical appearance is the key to being noticed, accepted or valued by others.
He argued that parents should place greater emphasis on teaching good character, moral values and virtues rather than focusing excessively on outward appearance.
The cleric expressed concern that many children are being exposed to fashion and beauty trends they may not fully understand, while important qualities such as decency, respect and good manners are receiving less attention.
According to him, the lessons children learn from their parents about dressing and self-presentation can shape how they view themselves and the standards they pursue as they grow older.
Emphasising his message, the pastor stated, “Decency is always in vogue,” urging parents to be intentional about the values they communicate through the way they dress and present their children.
