Mr. Okeugo Ugonna, a waste management official allegedly working for the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA), is accused of killing a 17-year-old boy named Master Daniel Ogbonna near a receptacle on Asa road in Aba, the commercial City in Abia State.
According to reports, Ogbonna was allegedly killed by the suspect for disposing of his garbage behind a full receptacle.
According to an eyewitness, Ogbonna arrived to dispose of trash around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, but the receptacle was full.
He was said to have left the area after disposing of his waste outside the receptacle that was full.
However, another official, identified as Biggy, is accused of ordering the suspect to arrest the victim for disposing of the refuse outside the receptacle. However, the arrest resulted in death.
