The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate repairs of the section of Abiola Hostel, Abia State University (ABSU).
The Hostel was recently gutted by fire and he as well promised financial assistance to the Students who officially allocated to the rooms affected by the inferno.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor E. Uche Ikonne, who disclosed this, described the Governor's kind gesture as an uncommon display of magnanimity, love for humanity and development of Education, particularly at this time of the Corona Virus pandemic.
Prof. Ikonne promised to ensure that the approved financial assistance is judiciously used for the repairs and in aid of the affected Students.
He expressed deep appreciation of the University Community for the Paternal show of love, and pledged its continued loyalty to the inspirational and Education-friendly Administration of Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.
