Benue State has confirmed its first case of coronavirus. Governor of the state, Samuel Ortom, just confirmed the case.
Nigerian on Friday, recorded 11 new cases of the Covid-19 pandemic, bringing the total number to 81 in the country.
However, with the new confirmed case in Benue, the number will now be 82 in the country.
The The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) is yet to update its data.
The NCDC has posted on its official Twitter handle (@ncdcgov) late Friday that: “11 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 8 in Lagos, 2 in Enugu & 1 in Edo State.
“As at 11:55pm 27th March, there are 81 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 3 have been discharged with 1 death.”
