A 200 Level Architecture student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ibogun campus, Ogun State, was killed in a stampede, on Wednesday, during the Liverpool vs Barcelona match.
It was said that Gbenga Olukoyi, a first class student died during a stampede that happened in a viewing center where he went to watch thematch.
According to sources, the stampede occurred after a student felt something crawling on his leg and, thinking it was a snake, raised an alarm which made everyone run away, making over 40 students injured and led to the death of Gbenga Olukoyi.
Gbenga allegedly died after the hospital he was rushed to rejected him due to the inability of those who took him there to make initial deposit for his treatment.
