One dead as three Story-building collapse in Aba

One person has been confirmed dead in an incident which took place at 19 old express rd Aba, Abia State.

MCL TV reports that the three story-building collapsed due to A persistent waterlog that weakened its foundation.

An eyewitness named chukwuma ukadike said, they building collapse after a heavy rain which felt on Thursday last week and the compound was covered with water which lead to the collapse of the house.

Meanwhile, John Eden a residence said one person was still alive but was trapped under the debris.

“We were calling him on phone, he said he’s still alive but the place is inside and hot”. After some minutes his phone was switched off, nobody knows if he’s dead or alive.

The tenants who escaped the unfortunate incident is calling on government to come to their aid as they count their loses.
