Aston Villa have appointed Unai Emery as new head coach, as salary will be around €7m/year.
Contract completed as Aston Villa will pay full €6m release clause to Villarreal.
Emery, a former manager of Arsenal, joins from Villarreal and takes over for Steven Gerrard, who was fired last week for the team's subpar start to the year.
He won't be in charge for Villa's trip to Newcastle on Saturday since he won't take over until after his work permit is finalized on November 1.
After being fired by Arsenal in 2019 after serving as manager for 18 months, Emery joined Villarreal in 2020.
