On Monday, July 25, students at a private elementary school in the state of Osun demonstrated in support of ending the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities' strike, which has already lasted more than five months (ASUU).
In Ile-Ife, children and some adults stormed the entrance of the Obafemi Awolowo University campus with placards calling for an end to the ongoing strike.
"Don't borrow our future away," was written on many posters carried by the students. Make no mistake, "I am the future ASUU." "Don't forget, I am the future ASUU."
