The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency invaded the home of fast-rising musicians Oniyide Azeez, better known as Zinoleesky, and Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, commonly known as Mohbad, in the early hours of Thursday.
The singers, along with three of their pals, were then arrested by NDLEA agents. The arrest of the musicians was announced live on camera, and the video has since gone viral. NDLEA operatives were seen invading the musicians' home in the footage, read (here).
The arrest of the singers was confirmed by the Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, in a chat. He claimed that the agency's agents discovered illegal drugs in the artists' homes, which led to their detention.
According to him, "Yes, they have been arrested because we had reliable information that they were in possession of drugs. We moved in on them and recovered drugs.
"That is why five of them were arrested; three males and two females. When their house was searched we found in their possession molly and cannabis.
"The investigation is still ongoing but we have to trace where they are getting these substances from."
However, Marlian Record label boss Naira Marley, shortly after the arrest of his signees, reacted via his Instagram story where he simply wrote, "I’m so angry right now."
