Former Barcelona midfielder Xavi 39, has been appointed manager of Qatari side Al Sadd. He announced his retirement earlier this month, after playing for the Qatar Stars League club since 2015.
The deal will see him become the boss of his former La Liga rival Gabi, who moved to the Middle East from Atletico Madrid last summer.

Xavi won 27 trophies during a glittering 20-years at the Catalan club. He was also part of the Spain team that won the 2010 World Cup, as well as the Euros in 2008 and 2012.
In 2015 he swapped Catalonia for Qatar, joining Al Sadd for the remainder of his career. But the 39-year-old recently confirmed it was his dream to one day manage his former club.
