Former Governor of Abia state, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu has been declared winner in the Abia North Senatorial District election which occurred last Saturday February 23rd.
Charles Anumudu who is INEC returning officer announced this at the state collation center, "Kalu of the APC, polled a total of 31,203 votes to defeat the incumbent senator and PDP candidate, Mao Ohabunwa who polled a total of 20,801 votes.
Meanwhile, Ohabunwa of the PDP has rejected the result and is calling for its cancellation.
