After a humiliating defeat against Liverpool on Saturday, Manchester United have announced the sack of manager, Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese was dismissed on Tuesday after a series of poor results.
Manchester United announced this on Twitter, saying, “Manchester United has announced that Jose Mourinho has left the Club.
“We would like to thank him for his work during his time at Manchester United and wish him success in the future.”
Mourinho, who joined United in May 2016 has had a fractious relationship with some of his players including Paul Pogba, that was stripped of vice-captaincy.
Former Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane will take over from manager, Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
This claim was made by respected French journalist, Julien Laurens, who works for talkSPORT.
Speaking on the manager to replace Mourinho at Old Trafford, Laurens was quoted by Fox Sports as saying: “He [Zidane] would be tempted – I think he loves the idea.
“For him, the man management is his main quality, his biggest quality.
“He improved a lot at Real Madrid over the two-and-a-half years tactically, and in understanding the game, but where he was so good was managing that dressing room.
“He made everyone, even the smaller players, feel important.”
